Inflation Equity Program/13th Check Update
"Status Update Regarding the 13th Check Litigation"
By: Wayne County Employees' Retirement System The WCERS filed an appeal to the Michigan Court of Appeals on January 6, 2012. The County filed a cross appeal of the second order. There are no additional developments. Response briefs are due this month. The Michigan Association of Public Employees Retirement Systems (MAPERS) was granted permission by the Court of Appeals to file amicus briefs that will provide further support for the position of the WCERS. We will keep you advised of any developments in the Court of Appeals in the next newsletter. |
